Telisca IPS Pager is a perfect solution to broadcast vocal announcements or text messages to large groups of Cisco IP Phone users. This is an immediate way to communicate alert or search people within a large group of users.

Vocal announcements are sent from one IP Phone to a group of IP Phones, using multicast ip technology. Announcement or alert is received on IP Phone loudspeaker or if the user is online, on the phone handspeaker. Audio level can be forced depending of alert priority.

Text messages defined may be sent from an IP Phone service or from a web interface that enables message creation as well. Depending of message priority a sound notification is sent with the message. Messages may remain availables for reading afterward, through Services menu.

To ease authentication requirement when pushing to IP Phone, IPS Pager integrates an authentication proxy. The proxy is based on a one time password mechanism that enhances security and free Cisco Unified Communications Manager from the load occurred when pushing to a large number of IP Phones.

User can press a Softkey on his IP Phone to talk directly to a group of phones or send a text message. Different profiles may be defined with specific messages and destinations groups.

Messages can also be sent from a Web interface. Depending of the profile selected (protected by a key), user will have access to specific predefined messages and distribution groups. From the web interface the user can also create a message and send it immediately.

Administrator uses a Web interface to define different user profiles. For each profile, he will defined destination groups. Groups can be defined by : ‘locations’, ‘device pools’, ‘calling search spaces’, ‘IP Address ranges’, ‘IP Phone list’ or all IP Phones.

Administrator defines different messages ready to be sent. Two level or priority may be set for : Push priority, notification sound, display duration..

Administrator can check, messages sent history, including sender, profile, destination, messages sent and destination list detail. SOAP based APIs are available to send automatically text messages to destination groups, from a third party application.

· Multicast enabled network (for vocal broadcast),

· Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 server (not dedicated),

· Processor: 1 GHz, 1GB RAM, 10GB disk.
