IPS Reservation provides to Cisco IP Phone users a simple and efficient way to reserve shared resources such as meeting rooms, conference rooms, video equipment, … With a few key strokes, users can check resource schedules and amenities, reserve or cancel reservations.

The user first selects the category of the needed resource, then enters the desired date and time. Reservation details may be added: the duration and the number of persons for a room reservation, etc. The application displays the list of available resources for the selected criteria. The user may then display the descriptions of the resource to check amenities and then confirm the reservation.

The user may cancel the reservation from the same IP Phone. Reservation functions may also be effected by a supervisor through the Web client interface.

The IP Phone can also be used to display the schedule for a selected resource. For instance, from the IP Phone of a meeting room that appears to be available, the user can confirm the room’s availability and then reserve the room directly.

IPS Reservation can manage meeting rooms that can be joined together to yield a larger conference facility. The application takes into account the time needed for room re-configuration and preparation.

Each resource may be available for all or for a group of IP Phone users.

Reservation history is kept in the database for a defined period and may be exported for statistical or billing purposes.

IPS Reservation Administrator takes advantage of a user-friendly Web client interface to define resources and reservation rules. Via the interface are defined categories of resources, groups of IP Phone users, and resources (with linked resources).

The reservation planning is also available from a Web client interface.

IPS Reservation is today available in English and French, it may be translated as required.
